Why is this here?
Like so many blogs out there, this little space is my chance to do something I've always wanted to do. That is, this blog is dedicated to the not-quite-dead art form of the language of flowers. What is the language of flowers? It's a little something created around the Victorian era to send messages (usually as it pertains to romance) to another person using everything from a single stem flower and posies, all the way to extravagant bouquets.
However, I would like to leave one small disclaimer: Flowers are beautiful things, and if you receive/give them simply because they're pretty/in season/the person's favorite flower/etc. then don't worry about the meaning. Enjoy them, for they are things of beauty and are very fleeting.
